We are expanding our leadership team with the addition of a talented Chief Technology Officer. We are looking for a full-time, talented CTO with in-depth, hands-on, full-stack mobile and web development experience. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in system architecture, programming, and software design and will have successfully managed software development teams in a startup environment.

This position will be responsible for overall architecture and development UPFIELD. Specifically, this role will be responsible for driving overall project execution and timely delivery of usable products to multiple end-users. This person must be able to code directly, but as the business grows, the role will often evolve to both building and leading a development team. Must be able to evaluate multiple technologies and identify those that are the best fit for the business. Must be able to collaborate in real-time with the company’s operations team and our dev consultants.

Reporting directly to the CEO and as part of a close sales team, you will be responsible for providing and executing the sales and business development of the division throughout most major cities and municipalities in Quebec and across Canada.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a technical background, diploma, college degree in engineering, (civil, structural, architectural) or equivalent combination of training and experience. Using a Prescriptive Selling Methodology you will be calling on and working with architects, engineers, municipalities, public works, developers and specifiers. You have honed a passion for business development over the past years and have developed a reputation as the guru who knows how to satisfy and resolve the needs of a demanding clientele by providing exceptional personal service in an extremely competitive industry. You know how to prepare quotes and follow up to successful conclusions. As the consummate hunter and prospector and through perseverance and professionalism, you can create aggressive sales strategies and penetrate new markets. More importantly, you get the order and close the deal.

Your references are impeccable and they would say that you are self-directed, self-motivated, disciplined, have tremendous initiative and energy and are extremely innovative and creative. Your integrity is your brand. You are accountable and responsible for your own decisions. You do what you say you will do and are relentless in pursuing and following up on leads. Your background has probably been with an employer with diverse clients, preferably in interior or exterior construction or similar products. You have developed a reputation as the in-the-field technical sales expert, a self starter, excellent communicator and polished presenter with above average analytical ability, excellent organizational skills and strong business acumen with a keen sense of market trends. You possess superior computer skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
